“We asked Paul for a bespoke presentation that would relate to our conference delegates’ level of experience and industry sector - that’s exactly what we got. The topic selected was ‘Trust and Confidence’ based around three pillars, Integrity, Competence and Transparency. Paul used three key stories, each one relating back to the pillars, to share his experiences, lessons learnt and to tie in some key business messages. Paul presented at our conference 3 days after the terrorist attack in Christchurch – our venue was just 400m down the road from where the attack took place. He made last minute changes to his presentation and created a new introduction to acknowledge the emotions, explain the connectedness between his stories and the Christchurch attack. Paul explained the intent of his stories were to entertain with key messaging, but he acknowledged the stories maybe dampened by the recent events - but they were not, in fact the messages came across stronger. Feedback from our delegates was that he was not only the best presenter but also one of the nicest people to engage with.
